The quick reality
Most problems visitors have in PNG come from being unplanned and unsupported, not from PNG itself.
HausLink Traveller Care exists to reduce that uncertainty: known arrangements, local hosts and honest information.
HausLink coordinates. We are not an emergency service, a security company, a medical provider or an insurer.
Coordination, not emergency services
HausLink coordinates travel arrangements with local hosts and operators. We do not provide security, medical, ambulance or evacuation services, and comprehensive travel insurance remains the traveller's responsibility.
What you should know
What we intend to do
- Give you honest, location-specific information before you commit to a destination.
- Coordinate arrival, transfers and accommodation so you are not improvising on the ground.
- Work with local hosts and operators who know current conditions in their own area.
- Capture your requirements — dietary, medical, accessibility, travel style — before arrival.
What we do not do
- We do not provide police, security, ambulance, medical care or medical evacuation.
- We do not replace comprehensive travel insurance.
- We do not guarantee outcomes in an emergency, and we will not pretend otherwise.
- We do not claim partnerships or capabilities we have not confirmed.
What this means for a traveller
- You still need your own travel insurance, including medical evacuation cover.
- What you get from us is preparation, coordination and straight answers — including when the answer is "we would not send you there".
What I recommend
- Tell us your real concerns early. We would rather adjust your itinerary than have you arrive uneasy.
- Arrange comprehensive insurance with medical evacuation cover, and keep the policy details with you.
- Use the province-by-province section to choose where you go, then let us coordinate the rest.
HausLink approach
- Our position has not changed: know the realities, prepare properly, experience PNG without the worry.
